Deep seated antique armchair?

Hi there,

I recently acquired this arm chair. Apparently it is antique and is over one hundred years old. It has been reupholstered at least once. It was red before.
I have noticed that the wheels it's on have been added at some point. Not sure what was there before....perhaps wooden legs. It's quite heavy and has metal slats for support.

I have looked at loads of images online but I am at a lose end to what or when or anything about this chair. I was hoping someone else may have an idea. Thank you in advance
