Picked these up at a local antique/odd item store. They thought they were 19th century and possibly asian due to the slanted eyes on the men in the carvings. We applied a magnet and it did not stick so it is not iron, It polishes like silver. Does anyone have any information on what these might be? Note, each man in the center has a triangle in his chest area.

Maybe it is pewter. The patina on old pewter items is desirable, so it is better not to polish it.
