Very Large Mexican Incensario {?}

I think that this is a very large incensario. it stands over 11 inches tall and has three sets of three little horns on the rim. i don't know how it was used or what those represent, but i think i read somewhere that they represent deer. ?? the burnishing on this piece is really outstanding.
