I chanced upon these 3 bottles that were featured as "antiques" while shopping online one day. The price was right and the seller was prompt and decisive and easy going.
On the day the bottles arrived i opened the package eagerly and along with the bottles i was surprised to find such a cute note and so many stickers in it. It was really a sweet note but i begin to wonder about the age of the seller and the age of the bottles.
I then went to check in more details on the seller website and was more worried when she listed a year 2000 coin as vintage...
I became even more worried when i saw him/her listing another coin from 1990 as very old. I am probably dinosaur to him/her!
Nonetheless i love these bottles and the very cute note and stickers the seller left that made me laughed so hard. Regardless of the age of the items, im very thankful for them. Happy thanksgiving people.
Hope you like this sharing of a piece of me:))
People use keywords improperly so their stuff will come up in searches.
Two are little snuff bottles, decorated with glass beads. The other looks like a brass scent bottle. These are souvenir wares. I saw many of them while I lived in Turkey.
What matters is that you love them. :-)))))
When I tell some of my younger coworkers that I have been there 10 years they consider that a long time. They were in grade school then.
Hi Fleafinder, these are quite cute though!!! As a matter of fact I have one exactly the same as the small round one in your first picture!!! Have had it for years, same story....antique snuff bottle....Tibet ??? What did I know......Maybe this is what the seller thought too.
Anyway I have kept it all these years to remind myself to research and then research again before I commit to buy LOL.
I am glad you love them and had a good laugh, at least you had a lovely polite and kind seller !!!
hey ladies, the seller mentioned that the bottles with exception of the gold scent bottle was from china. So im not sure about its origins too! Either you or tassie could be right!
Thanks for both the comments celiene and fort:))
No worries too guys..as it was the first time dealing with the person i was tactful too. 3 bottles for $10 bucks-price was right:) no regrets.
Lol about the "wondering about age of the seller" part of your writeup :-D
The kind attention of the note, stickers bonus and the $10 for the 3 bottles are great!
2 from Tibet and one from China, antiques.... in 98 years ;-)
I love the Exotic designs on these Flea! Regardless of age, they're striking pieces! Sorry so late but I've been trying to play catch up :-)
