Hi CW Gang:
Small 5 inch ceramic LUSTERWARE vase that really has a lots of Luster to it. Very cute!!! What kind of Fish are those on it, or suppose to be? I think this is from around the 1950's or 1960's as a guess. Says nothing on the bottom but I assume came from Japan. Super, super condition for it age, and only .99 cents.......LOL

UPDATE: The fish style ( as per Alan ) is the Discus "Symphysodon". Still looking for the maker of the vase yet.

My vote is for an Angelfish. It's a very pretty vase Rose, I like it a lot.

Antiquerose, I use to have a very nice couple of Discus in Quebec, I breeding them, pretty easy fish to multiplied.
They are in the family of Cichlidae( Cichlids )maybe you know the fish call "Oscar "or "Jack Demsey "even "Angel fish ", they all in the same family.
