Hi CW Gang:
Guess that time is around the corner. Thought I would post this. Almost 12 inches tall in total. Mercury Glass Christmas Topper. Mint, Mint! Still has the original box with it and the Label on the side to say MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Never used, always store in box. Another find for .99 cents...LOL. I love these finds !!
I am thinking from around the 1960's or 1970;s era.....??
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

Beautiful!!! It brings back memories of Christmases of my childhood - we had a very similar Christmas tree topper !!! :)))
Repro, but still really pretty! (No one would know). Alderbrook Industries incorporated in 1999, no longer in business.

Or - maybe not. Alderbrook was apart of NOMA, which sold Alderbrook in 1997... So it MAY be prior to trying to re-incorporate in 1999.

Found info in a book entitled " Christmas Days: From Fake Snow to Santalands, The Things That Make Christmas Christmas"" ~ by Derek McCormack
https://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Days-Fake-Santalands-Things-ebook/dp/B00IN8OTY4
In that above book states right in it [ QUOTE ] """ John. H Rice worked a Noma Canada for years. In the early 1960's, he left and founded his own firms: CARILLON and ALDERBROOK INDUSTRIES.....""
================
So the Firm ALDERBROOK INDUSTRIES has been around since the early 1960's, so I do not believe this to be a Repro item,......but rather an original. Thanks for your reply, as I did more digging to.
Yeah -I think you are correct. I'd use it though! It's too pretty to stay in the box.
@ Celiene - LOL, I am a klutz with everything. I would break it!!
Also I wanted to say the box design and everything on these looks like some of the other Xmas stuff I have from home -- but the boxes are in poor poor shape on those. i was born in 1960, so I kind of just recognized the box design pattern too. Not that is getting bad......LOL.
That book above sound like an interesting read as some is here, IF the link works (??)
