This is a small prayer rug - about 3' x 2'. I think it's Persian, and definitely old. I found it at the junk shop where everything has been found at the municipal dump! i got it for $50, which i think is a very good price.

i did a little research and i think that this is a Heriz Karajeh rug from around 1900-1910. i could be wrong, but that's the best i could do in 40 min! these go regularly for $3000 and up! wow!
