If I hadn't seen the acid-stamped mark, I would have never known when, where, or by whom this was made. The semi-circular Czechoslovakia mark on the base answers all question - Kralik, Bohemia, ca. 1930. This very fine piece is uranium glass, with a cut rim, and a solid glass base that is more than an inch thick. It's highly UV reactive and glows like blazes under a black light. I've never seen another one like it!
Love the form!
I've seen this foot on a lot of specimens but never solid! Is the bottom satin glass or milky opaque ??
The piece is opalescent (milky opaque), not satin. The bottom is a chunk of solid green uranium glass, basically transparent green.
Wonderful. I've not come across this opalescent type uranium glass before. How useful it's marked!! :)
