My husband purchased this figurine in an antique shop in the 1980s. We have been unable to identify it. The nymph appears to be bisque. We would love to find out who the maker is. It is one of our favorites but we know nothing about it. It is 5 inches high and 6 inches long.
Might be Hungarian. Can we see a pic of the bottom of the piece, please ???
Royal Dux figurine - Made in Czechoslovakia.
Google image search that. It shows in results thumbnails, but large pics are gone.
Here it is...

I sometimes wonder if people post stuff to test us. Surely this is marked? Why would even a newbie not know to show the mark?
The reason I haven't included a photo of the bottom of my figurine is because I couldn't get it to show up. There is a 21 in black and the #118 and another that think is possibly an upside V and a 7 that was put on before the glaze. I have tried to get the photo but it comes out solid white.
Thanks to everyone that is trying to help me out with info about this figurine. I am really glad to have found this website.
Maybe that Upside v and 7 is a 17?
Take the photo in natural light without flash.
It is an adorable piece. I also posted a blonde one -where did it go?
Here is the blonde one:

Celiene, I will try that tomorrow. Hope it works. Thanks! I accidently deleted the first blonde photo.
