I love a good mystery, but i love solving them even more.
I have tried to work out who made the lamp,
I have found the manufacturer GOEBEL, 1935-1937 according to the stamp,
according to a solved mystery here "DEP." means maybe the artist Walter Bosse,
BUT - ANYONE RECOGNIZE who/what is E.F. and the black signiture?

      DEP means "Depose":
      http://www.ebay.com/gds/Depose-and-Deponiert-and-other-French-and-German-marks-/10000000002158707/g.html
The little painted initials belong to the decorator.
This particular Goebel Bee and V mark was used from 1935-1949.
      186 is the model number.
E.F. may also have something to do with the mold design. You can always ask Goebel:

      GOEBEL Customer Service answer:
EF 186 "Gypsy Woman on a triangular base"
1929 sculpted by our sculptor Reinhold Unger
1938 discontinued. "Discontinued" means that moulds and models were destroyed. It also means that production was ceased several years before the discontinuation year already.

From the mid 1920s through the mid/late 1960s Goebel used as model number a combination of letters and numbers. "EF" for example means "Electric - Figurines". Thereafter 7-digit model numbers were used.
