    LOUMANAL
    (436 items)

Found this beautiful 14K Gold ring today at a Flea Market and went to four Jewelry stores to find out what this Teal Colored Moonstone/jade-like stone was. My photos show it as bluish but it really is Teal, more like the second photo. No one had ever seen this exact colour in a Gemstone. One jeweller stated that whatever it was, it was not synthetic because there were inclusions in the gem and fake stones are usually homogeneous in colour/clarity. Has anyone ever come across a similar stone? Thanks, BOB

I just checked the Blue Stone list and it could be "Blue Smithsonite" because of the transluscence. Thank you Celiene...I appreciate your help. BOB

Here are even more. You can send it top GIA for identification.

I have sent items to GIA, they are the gold standard around the world, and pretty reasonable.

Hello! I have been lurking forever but made a profile today to chime in--this looks like it could specifically be the chrysocolla-stained blue chalcedony sometimes known as gem silica. (pardon if this comment overlaps with someone saying the same thing!) It glows even more in person and is one of my very favorites. What a lovely find!

By George! gilberte, it is certainly a Gem Silica stone because it looks Exactly like this except for the shape. Celiene did mention that it was Chalcedony so she was on the right track. Thank you for the information and the link to this wonderful site. I was going to sell this ring for Christmas so I,ll have to change my description and outlook. Bob
