So this ornament is a big one, 5", English hobnail surface, round at the edge but pointed in the center on both sides, with stripes of mica. It's stamped West Germany. I've been trying to research it but don't know what to call it due to the unusual texture and shape. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for looking.
No idea...Flatten Pine Cone?? Still kinda reminds me of the design on Pine Cones.......but ??

That sure is big. And beautiful.
Can't help with anything except admiration.
It certainly is a beautiful ornament!

Rose, flattened pine cone works as well as anything else! :)) I've asked experts and they say they don't have a name for the shape though they have seen it before. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.
Thanks, Karen, it is a very large and attractive ornament. :)
Thanks, jscott, for the compliment! :)
I have been searching and came across one almost exactly like this one, but recent and from Taiwan. It also had some kind of fan detail which seemed strange.
