Royal Chelsea Golden Rose pattern bone china, made in England.
Beautiful vintage luncheon set. It has lots of gold gilding and a white ground with lots of vibrant pink and orange roses surrounded by green leaves, finished with a heavy gold trim
In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
I have 6 cups & saucers, a cream & sugar on a small tray, a pastry/cake platter, 6 luncheon plates and 7 side plates.
Does anyone know any history to these? Mom had them packed away for years and we are trying to trace them back? I am thinking Circa 1950, but not sure? Any insight?
According to marks4antiques these were made by New Chelsea of Longton in Staffordshire. This particular mark, on your pieces, was used between 1943-51, perhaps in celebration of the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth & Prince Philip, I think they were married in 1947
