I inhearated this pair of scissors/shears from my deceased mother in law. I cant find a single pair like them or even a pair with this name. I would like to know what they are used for and the history behind them.

Hi and welcome to CW. I don't think there's anything particularly special about the pair of scissors, except of course they have a connection to your mother-in-law. You don't say what size they are, so difficult to tell what they were used for. Maybe in the garden, perhaps in the kitchen or possibly sewing. Wm. Williams is most likely the hardware store they were purchased from. They've been well used.

It's difficult to read the makers name, but it looks something like 'Eversham', with an unreadable place name and then U.S.A.

      I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
