I have wanted an example of this form for my Rindskopf collection for years, and am very happy to have finally been able to add one!
This 13.5" tall iridescent Rindskopf vase is in a deep teal green fading to a very pale icy green at the base. It has a molded martelé pattern, and is in what is known as a hyacinth shape (although no one would attempt to grow hyacinths in these, I am pretty sure!)
It dates to about 1905, and has a typical Rindskopf pontil mark (just slightly ground) on the base.
Hey, you got it!!! Cheers! - Bob
These shapes are great pieces - quite dramatic because of their height. It is nice to find a piece you have wanted isn't?
Thanks, Bob! :)
Thanks Mac - as you just said in your other post, if you wait, eventually you'll find something you really want! :)
