Had this on eBay, $4--no bids and decided to keep it. I am glad it didn't see--after all! Hand painted with gold touches ==Beautiful expression on cats face.(in gold) Opens up completely, freely, Figural that appears as vintage...Wonderful accessory for a dresser of table in the boudoir. No chips or cracks. Just sooo special!! I don't know the age...Mid-Century maybe.

The Chelsea Gardens line of gift ware was introduced for Christmas, 1985. It was inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show, and perhaps also the designs of 18th Century Chelsea China Works, which produced botanical porcelains for the English aristocracy. Not knowing it had an orig. candle in it--I took some time scraping the one in there(!) out with an orangewood stick.
Bob--So refreshing to meet a guy who likes cats!! I giving room here for" orphans of the storm". A mom is in the cup board with 4 calico kittens.(1 week old) All females--but I WILL get them good homes. Thanks for dropping by!!

Thanks so much. I have a cat that looks lkle that! (Without the flowers on his back, of course--He is all white with one black spot on his back. ) I saved his life and he love me so much!! Name is "Dil" for" Dilbert". Ha ha1
