I would appreciate opinions on this piece. About 5 inches tall and a little wider. No marks. It is very well done but wonder who made it. Thanks.

Looks Italian to me I bet it has a chipped pontil
First thing that came to my mind was a piece I had with a made in italy sticker.
Although it wasn't identical....
