A magnificent example of the 1960's hippie patched / applique denim shorts. These are actually signed ERIC inside, don't see that very often. Starting with your more typical denim shorts or cut-offs of the period, our hippie (or viking hippie?) "Eric" had suede - with TASSELS no less - applied to the front. And a leather asterisk on the back - ok ...I suppose it MAY BE a flower... Cut out letters to spell out LOVE in wildly psychedelic fabric on the front. He also utilized a wonderful array of period psychedelic fabric covering the tush and in the form of a flower on the point... I do not know the details of Eric's personal history, but I would think these may be from the Village or the Haight in or around 1967 to late 1960s... These were a first class find and feel these are worth preserving.
Flower Power ....... and GROOVY
