Jean, I don't know if these pictures are any better.........
I would say it is a gold colour on the back.
On the front it is gold on the wing tips and showing through on the enamel? on the wings, as well as gold down to and including the spring under the body.
The only part that looks a copper colour is the back of the duck's head and tail, looking at the back of the brooch.
No silver that I can see, it also is not attracted to a magnet.
I forgot to put the size on the first post as well!!
3cm wing tip to wing tip
2cm head to tail.
And I'm sure it is alive lol....everytime I pick it up and squeeze the wings it flings itself around the room!!!!

Bonnie, I had only seen Kyra's gorgeous Bug ......Never thought I would find 2 at the same time from a favourite local seller.........I was so excited and $15.00 for the pair was worth the risk I thought!!!

It has a look of Shakudo, Judy, if the wings are enamel then of course I'm off on a wild goose chase. So the question now Is, are the wings enamel?
Hi Jean, studying this duck again......all I can really tell you is that all the black feels a little on the rough side, and under the light I can see that the gold colour actually sparkles through the black!! Hope that makes sense!!

Of course it would be great if it was something special, but I don't think it is, and I love it regardless!
Hi Judy, have a look at Shakudo pin, brooches or jewellery in general, there might be something that catches your eye. I thought it might have been enamel, but now you say it isn't, and them clips to my knowledge are old.
