We fell in love with this print immediately upon seeing it in the antique mall. The look on the girl's face is intriguing.

The print is approximately 11 X 16 and is not matted. All surrounding decoration is part of the print so we assume it was not a limited edition by L. Busiere or T. Gilbert Ltd.

The print appears to have contained color when made as there is still a hint of a reddish hue on the sash around her waist, the lips and the bottom of the bonnet ribbon.. I have no doubt the print has been faded by bright light over its life.

The frame shows wear, but it is evident it is also quite old from the general condition and tearing of the paper backing on the frame.

The framing company, T. Gilbert, Ltd. is evidently no longer in business as I can find no mention of them in a search of London framers nor in a search of the Fine Art Trade Guild on-line records. The sticker does show the logo of the Guild, so T. Gilbert must have been an authentic member at some point.

Any assistance in identifying the print as to date and information on L. Busiere as well as T. Gilbert is greatly appreciated.
