Can anyone please help me ID this brass, unmarked, antique, oil lamp which has been converted to electricity quite some time ago? The shade is cloth lined, (falling apart), and is made out of brass too. Many thanks for any information that anyone would like to share.

Thank you. The shade is very dusty from sitting in a garage for quite a long time. My wife plans to gently clean it up a bit this weekend. I am very curious as to its origin and approximate age.
Take a picture of the base where we can see it. It's like that second bottom is added on. What happened to the oil well?
The oil well sits inside of the base. I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow.
If you had the font holder with this lamp font, you could probably identify it but like this, it's going to be very difficult. Edward Miller did make metal oil lamps in Brass. RER
You can post a second post with an additional 4 pictures. Is the shade stamped? I mean the decoration Is It a stamped decoration?
OK, I'm not very knowledgeable about oil lamps so I don't know what a font holder, or lamp font, really is. Could you enlighten me a bit? I have found life to be a continuing learning experience. Thanks.
Possibly. It definitely isn't a casting.
Font is the proper name for what I called the oil well.
The font holder would be the "vase" part that the oil holding font would sit in. The ribbed part in the pictures would sit in and overlap the decorated vase holder.
Thank you for explaining what the font & font holders are. The font seems to be an exact fit for the font holder and seems to match the font holder in outward appearance. I will start another post with additional pictures.
The shade is the valuable part and looks added on and not original to a kerosene lamp, it looks 1920's, art deco.
It could be. I added a picture of the underside of the shade holder. Looks as if someone has soldered the ring onto the supporting wires.
