These are Prizer hibachi grills made by Prizer of Reading Pa. I think they were made in
    the 1960'S maybe the 1970's
You could get them in 3 versions
    .no legs
    .3 straight legs
.or the deluxe model that had a shelf, wheels and a cool little spring loaded moving handle.

      Thank you PhilDMorris
I love these vintage cast iron grills and these are ones that had never been used.

Joedy, you have a fantastic collection of vintage grills. I've been trying to find some info on the production dates of the Atlanta Stove Works portable grills. I've read that the 4 leg version was made before the 3 legged version. But when was the first 4 legged version made? One source has it dateing back to the 1920's. Thanks Ed

      Hi Reillyranch (Ed)
The patent was filed for the Sportsman on December 2 1940 and granted in 1943.
There are no records so it's anyone's guess when it came to into being.
I have seen a picture of a Sportsman and the door says "patent pending"
If you get onto facebook and look for a group called "Cast iron grill and hibachi world" that's the group I help run and it's all about vintage cast iron grills, that would be a great place to get more answers.
