Is it a family hierloom? If so, I suppose parts of your family originate from Germany! The spoon is form Geislingen where the company "Württembergische Metalwaren Fabrik (WMF)" is located. It is a WMF spoon and the company used these hallmarks between 1880 and 1903. The "DRP 76975" says that it is Alpacca, and the "90" behind Geislingen stands for the thickness of the silver plate used. The insciption infront reads: "Zur Erinnerung an deine alte Heimat–For remembrance of your former homeland". On the back could be a name " Gen. v. d. Bäschen" for "Genannt von der Bäschen – Called of the Bäschen". "Genannt" names are kind of names in Germany (mostly westphaila) originating from farms. It could as well stand for "(some name) von deinem Bäschen" (something like "given by your Bäschen". "Bäschen" is a diminutive from the old word "Base" (which has died out) meaning "aunt (who is the father's sister)". Greetings!
