Received this darling doll as a child but know nothing about origin etc. anything y'all can tell me is welcome. I don't see any markings or numbers on her. Her eyes open and close. Head can swivel, is attached by what looks like a really this rubber band inside. I'm clueless.
She is a hard plastic doll popular in 1950's . A few companies in USA made these inexpensive dolls . Plastic Molded Arts Co. For one (PMA) made dolls for themselves and sold to other companies who dressed and boxed them .You don't mention her height . The smaller ones often came in fancy boxes showing off their dress's in a full circle around dolls head . The made them in characters, international clothes and some had name . They were dime store dolls and made to be displayed not played with and that is why so many of these have survived . She may have been named Marcie . Gas stations also gave these out as a giveaways Arco .
