Cups and saucers belonging to my Grandma who is 96, think it was also her mother's ? I'd love to know the maker of this collection as I can't find anything like it with the same mark. Thanks for any info.

Made by George Procter in Longton, Staffordshire between 1891-1939, when it became Gladstone China. Your pieces may be on the earlier side of that date, as his brother joined him and it became George Procter & Co (Sometimes misspelled as Proctor)

I think there may be a link to a museum on thepotteries.org website who could help you. Edward VIII (who abdicated and became Prince of Wales) was born in 1894, so maybe the pattern was named for him?
Many Thanks maryh1956 for your information and knowledge, so the small mark is an L but it's worn away. I'm glad we have these pieces and that they have survived intact for so long. I'll follow the link. Thanks again.
