    Found this item today while metal detecting at an abandoned rail station that dates back to 1888. It was manufactured by the Crescent Watch Case Company. If anyone can give me an idea of its age I would be very appreciative.

      I should have included the serial number stamped on the case: 4645176

      The serial number that would have been etched on the watch is what's needed.

      Yes, the # engraved on the watch components would have been ideal; unfortunately, the case is all that was recovered.
