Hello everyone.
Not bad for $10.00.....Husband had a good day again at garage sales!!
The vase is really pretty but.......so big and very heavy!!
The two vanity items were filthy dirty black, probably were brushes, or brush and mirror ,which are long gone! BUT.....I suspected they were silver, which they are, all fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1900. They cleaned up reasonably well and still display nicely!
That leaves the three triangular glass bottles with probably silver plated tops, sitting in their holder which I would say is chrome.
There are no maker's marks on anything on this set!
I am thinking a vanity item.....for perfume maybe???
Or could be flasks for alcohol???
Or even possibly a food condiment related item!!!
Hoping someone here will know.......I even did an image search and googled myself silly with every combination of description I could think of with no results!!
All suggestions and guesses welcome, thanks, Judy
beautiful sweetie!!
Thanks Sean!! :)
your welcome Tassie !!
That man! What a star!
The brush and mirror are gorgeous; look at the repousse work on them!
Lovely crystal bowl/vase; for roses?
I have no idea what the bottle set is for. Maybe essential oils on a lady's table?
Thanks Karen......he just laughed when I told him that lol!!!
This is the second weekend he has come home with GLASS!! I stop myself from looking at it and now it seems to have rubbed off on him!! Not that I mind of course, I love it all, but it is a bit like furniture........we just don't have the room, so next weekend it will be "remember, no furniture and no more glass vases please"!!
And he has just said"the devil made me do it"!!!
Back to the silver pieces, yes, they are just wonderful I love them.
That sounds like a good idea for the bottles too........thanks! I really like them!
He did GREAT! Not a vase - a cut lead crystal cup handle serving bowl, methinks....and an old one at that. Gorgeous!
Oh, that's great Bonnie, thanks!!! See, I know even less about glass!! I do know that I like this "serving bowl" and will do a bit more research now that I know what to call it!!! Thanks
All very beautiful pieces. I truly love the hand mirror and brush. The bottles a also very nice. I'd guess the bottles to be for perfume. Not sure though.
Thanks very much Scott, the brush and mirror frames are just amazing!!! Glad you love them too, they are my favourites in this group! Yep, I still think perfume or such too, thanks!
a great finding really
Kivatinitz, thank you very much for the comment, really appreciated!

I think Cologne/perfume too for the 3 bottles :-)

Sounds like your a lucky lady! Also you can use a magnet to tell how much silver might be in it. . I have a brush set. I was very surprised that it didn't stick to it.
Thanks for the love Rick!
