thank you Master. it has a very special 'feel' to it. i think it might be very old.

Has Korean feel to it design wise. To me the foot looks to clean for a piece that might have age to it could still be old just not really old. . If I wasn't looking at the bottom I would say that it has some age to it.

I wonder if somebody converted it to a lamp at one time? (hence, hole in bottom) Judging by the crazing, looks to have at least some age to in. - Nice though - Cheers! - Bob

i agree on the Korean feel grendel. and about the foot, although i've seen some pieces which looked a lot like this which were evidently old and valuable as they went for a lot.

thanks beyemvey. yes, i think it was made into a lamp at one time.

You could be right ho2cultcha about the foot but I look for wear to the foot as a indicator of age from people moving it from handling it.but it could not have been handled much. Have to find someone that knows Korean pottery .

i do too grendel. i was just being argumentative. i'll look for someone who knows korean pottery. if it was made into a lamp in the 1920s and it was new then and recently removed from the lamp, i think it would look like it does now. it definitely had a base on it.
