Rattletrap

This is what a truckload and trailer loaded with signs looks like for us after a long trip to Hershey Pa and back to Provo. As you might guess, the trip was not without excitement! Three blowouts and a major accident added to the excitement, but we had a wonderful time and got about 45 new signs to add to the Lakeside Storage Collection that will keep me busy all winter. I confess that the fun is in the hunt cause it is sure not in putting footings in the ground for these big signs!
You have taken full advantage of every square inch of available room on that truck and trailer:)
Trey,
U got that right. We custom made this trailer to haul bug signs & even built special racks to haul complete signs on poles on the outside of the trailer. This is the trailer that got totaled by a big Semi Truck in Kansas on the way home. I still haven't been paid for the wreck by the Ins Company yet!!!
Trey,
That special rack on the truck has 20 big 6' signs in it that weigh over 100# ea. Heavy load but the big awesome Duramax with the Chip on it doesn't even notice the load! I love my Duramax!!!
They should do a commercial of your truck loaded down with all that porcelain gold!!!
Sorry about your trailer:( it sounds like you may need to get a lawyer.
Rattletrap..what gives? ..I don't see a Gas Pump!?! LOL!!!

Good observation! We were so over weight with just the signs and other stuff we bought that we couldn't carry any pumps. Very sad!!! We did, however, have 5 glass cylinders for visible pumps mixed in the load that were wrapped in carpet pad for protection. It was a good thing as they didn't break in the wreck we had on the way home! We had 3 blowouts as it was! Heavy load! 20 big 6' signs in the truck alone.
Trey,
U are right about the porcelain Gold! We had purchased signs on Facebook, Craigslist and every Picker we could find along the routes we were gong to take for several months previous to our long trip. We then got lucky and found some more big signs from collectors we met in Nebraska as well as the ones we bought at Hershey. I figured it was about $80k in value on the truck and trailer when we got home. Gold, Platinum, Diamonds, Rubies, and Emeralds in porcelain. Happy hunting!
Got any five gallon fry glass cylinders?
Trey
Nope. I do have a 10 gal Fry that someone cut an inch or two off of to mace it shorter. Hard to get glass these days. Felt very lucky to find some at Hershey! Got an original mint cylinder for my Clear Vision 700 double head pump! Impossible to find those! Guy from Fla. Had it in the attic for 30 yrs.

30 years in an attic !! Wow how did he come across the cylinder for a clear vision 700 double head pump?
Trey,
Exactly! This stuff appears in the most unlikely places and I never expected to find a real cylinder for my CV pump as they are nearly impossible to find and the new ones are made from German glass that is perfect and looks imitation as well as costing about $1500/cylinder delivered. The seller had no idea what the cylinder actually was & was a dealer. Pretty rare pump. I got a couple of other real glass cylinders from him as well. Lucky day for me!
