Soup's on!
Because I live so close to Maastricht, I nearly drown in porcelain items made there. A soup ladle, however, is a rarity.
This ladle is a survivor. The backstamp is crisp and clean and the porcelain is pristine (aside from a little crazing), so I wonder if it was ever used. The only other one I found on the web was in a Brocante shop in Gouda, and it had already been sold. Condition was the same as my ladle.
So, who gets excited over a soup ladle? LOL me, when it's one of these oldies.
Thanks for looking!
Bonnie
wow ladle with a marking thats rare!
I love, love this ladel...it's so different and wow, could even be older than me!!! haha Hey Bonnie...question to verify something is actually why I popped on today, I need to double check what exactly 325 is on jewelry, I can't remember and I'm not getting straight answers wherever I look...
Very neat design! Oh yes I'm definitely in for a ladle of soup on this cold day.
@shareurpassion - to my knowledge, there is no such thing as 325 silver. That would mean it was 32.5 out of 1000 parts of silver. That equals rubbish. If the mark is rubbed, a 925 stamp can look like a "325" stamp.
@shareurpassion - this ladle is probably older than both of us!
Wonderful Ladle.......things that don't come up for sale very often are always exciting!!
