Very tall barrel back antique chair

This is an antique chair that's been in a family for a long time. It's in perfect shape - the design painted in gold still perfect - no marks on base or bottom. Trifid feet? Very well made - great back support and formed seat. Heavy, the back stands taller than your head. Where did it come from??
