This is a Dorrie Nossiter silver pin brooch. The pin is made of heavy gauge silver wire, it reminds me a little of a babies safety pin. It is a large pin measuring 7.8 cm long and the round leave, which is very typical of Dorrie Nossiter work is approx 2.3 cm in diameter. There are no markings typical of the art and craft designers in that era.

Here is a little bit about Dorrie Nossiter.

Dorrie was born 29 June 1893 and died in 1977. She was a English jeweller and a jewellery designer from Aston near Birmingham.
Dorrie crafted precious jewellery of her own designs in the English art and craft tradition in both silver and gold. Her work is known for her use of colour and floral and curvature lines using gemstones in motifs.
Dorrie was educated at the Municipal School of Art in Birmingham from 1910 to 1914. Dorrie married Ernest Guy Robinson in 1922. By 1935 she was living in London where her work was shown in the "Art by four women" exhibition at the Walkers Gallery, London, she would go on to exhibit there from 1935 to 1939.
Dorrie's work is often confused with that of Sybil Dunlop.

    Many thanks for looking

Thank you kyra, it looks very plain compared to my other Dorrie Nossiter pieces, it always nice to have a contrast.
