I have a bunch of these P-38 trench art ash trays (at least 20), but cannot help myself when they are offered with "give away" pricing!
Got this one a few months ago, priced at only $50.
This one is a nicely made one from bullets, casings and shell brass. The main shell is a captured Japanese shell which adds to the desirability. I have added a photo of the base which shows the shell markings.
I have done displays of Trench Art items at military shows in the past, but usually am fighting for space to display my sale items (antique photographs and Civil War militaria).
I thought that I would display a few of my trench art items at the Chickamauga Civil War Show. The show is 4-5 FEB 2017 in Dalton, GA (about 90 miles N. of Atlanta, just off of I-75) at the Northwest GA Trade Center.
It is a GREAT show with militaria from all eras!
If you make it to the show, stop by my table.
Best wishes for a great show, scott.
Great P-38!
Thanks to all.
If you come to the show be sure to stop by table:
