    For your comment and entertainment, I am posting a rather unusual "artist liberty" that was performed on this beautiful "Irishman" Weller Humidor. Just above the left ear in the hairline is an inscribed image of a little cabin in the woods. You will note smoke coming out of the chimney and a pathway leading away from the door and through the trees.

    The base is inscribed with the letter "H".

    Not being an expert on Weller, or pottery in general, I'm curious to know how common is it to find intentional artistic liberties made to production pieces like this.
