I found this regal little Dachshund at Salvation Army yesterday. The ornate Nouveau style base measures 6" x 3.5" and the figure stands 4" tall. The detail is wonderful and he is quite heavy at around 3-4 lbs. The finish looks like it could have had a gold wash which is rather worn. A.B. Jennings Bros. specialized and had a process for their "Nouveau Bronzes" that included gold finishes. There should be a "JB" mark somewhere but I haven't found anything. While this piece seems to live up to their quality I can't give it a positive ID. Possibly German in origin because he is a Dachshund and I figure at least turn of the century in age or a bit into the 20th. -Mike-

      Mike,
This is incredible!! I love this. Not only am I a junkie for this sort of thing, but we've had three Dachshunds over the past 23 years. They were almost like our own children!
