Hello, I would love to help to identify this old double candlestick lamp that has been in my family a long, long time. It has brass parts with a copper base. The shade is really interesting, I believe it is made out of Caprese shells (just guessing) it could be Celluloid or Catlin. This is an odd shaped shade and the panels in front and back are cream colored. The same material is also on the sides, however, those are colored a darker gold.
Even the shade itself is an unusual design. I don't know who made this lamp, but I know the design could be traditional but that is all I know and I would like more information. I would love to know more about its history.
I don't know why my photos are in an incorrect position, I took them all correctly but when I clicked on ADD, two of the four turned sideways. I would like to know how to remedy that error in the future.
Thank you all - Bontekoe Vintage
That's a lovely mica shade. Any markings under the lamp? The shade is probably worth more than the base, depending on the maker!
