And one more piece with the "etruscan urn" mark!

This is the earliest piece I have from this mysterious maker, can be dated around 1880 from the style of comb/tiara.

    11cm long, 5.5cm wide.

The ornament is mounted on hinge and stem allowing it to be turned in different ways for wearing as a tiara or a back comb!

Bought on Ebay France, as the art deco fishes one previously posted, I rarely visited French Ebay as showing generally junk stuff...
Now I must check more often!

Salut David/Derrick! Merci pour tes recherches!
Ton poinçon amphore est un poincon de titre pour l'argent pur, instauré en 1958... (your amphora mark is for pure 999 silver, and was created under 5th french republic, 1958).

All the pieces, dating from 1880 to 1910, are marked 900 or 925, some with the urn on the same stamp, some with 2 separate stamps.

Bought them from France, England, USA...

Merry Christmas with lots of wonderful finds under your tree :-))

What a stunning comb, wowee!!! Oh I adore this hair ornament, it is to die for!!! :)

This mark is different from the other on the pendant. I don't see this shape as an urn but that could be my eyes deceiving me.
    17. katherinescollections katherinescollections, 8 years ago
Okay yes, I think this is the same as the one I posted about on your other thread.
    18. kyratango kyratango, 8 years ago
Katherine, thank you for your wowee comment and hitting the love button!
The mark seems to have evolved through years...

Many thanks for your visit and love, Valentino, Vintagelamp and Ho2cultcha!
