This was the third piece of Peloton glass I ever found, around 15 years ago & still one of my all time favourites. This is made from a single layer of clear glass overlaid with threads in pastel shades of pink, blue, yellow & white. The rim has a fancy double crimp. I see there is a bit of debate about Peloton glass, & I'm not exactly sure which maker this is by - I have a large collection of Peloton items & there seems to be quite a bit of variation in them which suggests a variety of manufacturers used this technique. Some pieces are double or even triple cased, others simply on clear glass like this one. The threading also varies in terms of colour, & how pronounced the texture is (this piece is very textured, but some others I have feature much more blended in threading). So, I am guessing it is probably Bohemian, but apparently some Peloton was also made in England too. Either way, it is one of my favourite types of art glass because it is so pretty, & unusual too!

Thanks bijoucaillouvintage! Peloton glass definitely has a fun, festive look - the threading reminds me of sprinkles on a cupcake.
