I happen to have a number of antique and vintage pocket watches (too many, LOL). It's kind of a secret love I don't know terribly much about, because it can be expensive (so I try to avoid it unless one really catches my eye or is a good deal).

This one I've long wondered on:

It says it's a Maxwell and is the Perfect Watch. Shock-proof, too.

It is Swiss-made but gives little info. My guess is it's maybe a 7-jewel dollar-watch advertising piece, but I'm not really sure.

You press down on the stem to change the time. Otherwise, pendant-wind like normal (currently it doesn't tick for long).

    Help on age and history?

Thank you, Kerry. I was thinking 1930s as well.
