Purched at a thift store, taking it into a jeweler to find out if the stone is a emerald. Pick up a pair of earrings same day looking like they might of came from the same place the ring was made. Will be posting them next . both pieces are very nice but mystery's on where and who crafted them.
The stone is very likely to be a green cubic zirconia/lab created Peridot. Not possible to tell you who made the ring with only a 925 stamp for information.
Ty Efesgirl, Your very likely to be correct. I am hoping that a jeweler can tell me more about the stones. Will post an up date.

Please check your photos: the one in the middle seems to be from a different post.
That guide in the link is useless; it provides absolutely no information on How To...
One clue to the gemstone being man made is the lack of polishing on the edges of the stone. Some are polished, but many are not.
Novices won't be able to distinguish genuine from man- made. The link I posted is just a general guide.
Some real gemstones are magnetic:

Efesgirl, I enjoyed watching those link, how on earth you find time do all that searching?
