Hi. I have this bowl in my collection. I inherited from my mum who saud she received from ger aunt. All i know is that it is atleast 60 years old. Any other information anyone can share would be great.

if it is true carnival glass, the bottom won't have any kind of seam..
not sure where that idea comes from, as carnival glass is very often molded glass, which often shows seams, that is treated with iridescent metallic finish and refired to create the 'carnival' iridescent finish.
my mom taught me about that when I was younger. kind of like when looking at fine crystal. Originals will not have a seam on the sides. original carnival glass is formed and pressed out.
sorry, but that is not true. Whether there are seams on molded glass most often depends on how well the pieces were hand finished or fire polished to eliminate mold seam lines. Many production pieces were not hand finished and do have noticeable seams; this is the same in originals and reproductions.
Agree 100% with TallCakes. I have lots and lots of Carnival Glass, all documented on http://www.ddoty.com and a majority of it has mould marks, which is quite acceptable.
