Here we have a vintage circus costume from possibly around the 1960's era,
one of a kind, custom made
Embellished in rhinestones and beads. Near mint condition.
This is just one costume in our collection of over 125 unique time period costumes, which also include headpieces, elephant blankets, accessories, etc.
Many of the costumes were made by the Eaves-Brooks costume company out of NY.
Additional information would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a museum? How did you acquire all them?

Collection of drawings, models etc. of costumes. Circus memorabilia is hugely collected, and any museum would KILL for your collection.

We acquired the entire collection from a gentleman by the name of Rich Deptula, from the Cleveland, Ohio area several years ago. He has since passed away. My wife and I own a costume and magic shop in Ohio and that is how we came to own this collection. All of the costumes are in pristine condition, quite a few are auto- graphed, we also have the headpieces as well.

It is beautiful. I sometimes make costumes for our local high school and the difficulty I find is getting the right look yet making something robust enough to be danced in and used many times.
This is clearly way outside my league, but how they made and used these beautiful garments dazzles me!
