Can the sign and Coca-Cola people here date the sign atop FRENCHY'S PLACE? Is this post WW11. "? I hope you can help. The gals are wearing uniforms. Their hair style looks maybe early 1950s But nothing specific grabs me.And the 2 girls on the far right link arms the way girls did in the years before the 1960s. They don't do that anymore, at least in Arizona. I have to put my money on the Coca-Cola sign prominent in this photo to give the best date .
Hi , Petretti's guide shows that Coca Cola Lady and Man Image used in 1941. :)
Cool picture!
Wonderful!!!! Thanks! 1941 that makes me happy!!
Hi PostCard,
Do you use a magnifying glass to look at the pictures?
Depends. usually I enlarge the picture when it is able to be b;own up twice here. I have vision in just one eye.
The waitresses are probably Patty, Maxine, & Laverne :-) Cheers! - Bob
All they need is the big shoulder pads,Ha ha!
The sign may date to 1941, but may have been up 5 or 10 years when the photo was taken.
Well, it was outside mounted sign. So that may be doubtful. The companies would usuall provide up to date adventising signs AT LEAST yearly, and this normally would have been replaced also as you see. it was exposed to the weather, high up and unprotected. I think we can go with 1941 which was authenticated. Thanks for looking! Thanks for loving!!
It was my grandson's photo and he can see the stamp on the back-- Jan 18, 1946
New Mexico, Hanna & Hanna New Mexico's Lead Photo Finishers.. I couldn't see it. Sorry
