Rarest of the rare?! "Eat Rosebud Mush." Cereal bowl featuring the beautiful Rosebud Girl. 1890-ish. I can't find ANYTHING about Rosebud Mush, Cereal, CornMeal, Oatmeal or anything! The text is in gold. AMAZING this has survived all these years. It was in terrible condition all stained brown. Cleaned it, and set it in the sun to further bleach stains. (I need to do again!) 7.25" across, 2" tall.

I am assuming this was an Advertising premium. Like if you bought Rosebud Meal (corn or oat?) you got a bowl. I'm also curious about the Rosebud Girl, too! If ANYONE has more info, please let me know!

Finally looked up the porcelain mark and found this: (They did make advertising items like ashtrays, etc. later on, too.)

"This is the mark of Harker Pottery Co of East Liverpool, Ohio, USA. They were founded in 1840 and continued until 1972. This mark actually dates to the 19th century and was their first one. Their bow and arrow marks have been revised over the years, but always feature an arrow of some sort and normally a bow too."

They call her a Gibson Girl, but I wouldn't (I have several Gibson's) . She's Roman Revival Victorian Nouveau! What is that on her waist?
