fortapache
(3422 items)
Wrapping up the Fort Apache Carry-All series. There are probably enough pieces to this to get another post or two out of it but perhaps later.
In photo two there is an Indian village inside the fort. There is an old chief of the Caramel tribe smoking a pipe.
Photos 3 and 4 have the cavalry troopers marching about and doing their business. There are a pair of guards posted outside headquarters.
This version is circa late 1960s. In the 70s the metal building section was replaced by plastic. This is much nicer. As can be seen there are several accessories like the flag stand, well, blacksmith anvil and many others.
In one of the photos there is a hidden cat. Sadly this is not a prize round.
I've been waiting to see the carry-all.
I can see now why the war started and continued: the reds, yellows and caramels want this fab piece of real estate on their own.
So, this is the original fortapache. Very cool!!!!!
Thank you very much racer4four. Yes it is nice portable real estate.
And thank you very much Scott. Yes it is.
Thank you

Thank you sklo42.
Nice set. When I was a kid I had one version of this with "Rusty"
and "Rin Tin Tin" figures in the set. These were nice sets, and it is
so good to have the original box. Thanks for posting.
Thank you very much tinytyper. Rin Tin Tin is a very valuable set now.
