This is where I started, A 1930 Ford Model 'A' Roadster.
With a bit of creative thinking I have now a 'Boat-tail Roadster'
Mostly made from scrap Ply-Wood, 340 small brass screws for the Boat Hull alone as well as the screws holding the frame together and finished off with several small boat deck fittings and a nice pair of flags.

Oh and to add one more thing the Windshield was a Sun visor from a 1950's Motor Coach. Graham.

Yes it's nice to take some thing that's readily available and reasonably priced and create some thing that pleases a lot of people.
I would never do this to a rare car even though I could as then I could say it's mine to do what I want.
The hours of work that go in to building and painting is only outweighed by the mega hours spent thinking about the smallest detail and finding the exact part.
Then there's finding a good base vehicle to create that perfect conversion.
But then I have never seen another conversion like this, I have seen lots of repaints and restorations and as nice as they look and I know that at times they are bringing a car back from an early death.
I set out some time ago the basic rules for these conversions of no cutting,
no drilling and no welding of the base vehicle unless it is totally unavoidable and you throw your self on your sword afterwards to repent, 'No' Only joking or am I.
I have another conversion that I want to share with you that is bigger and more radical than this but I know you are going to like it.
Then in the memory bank there are at least two more conversions based on the 1938 and 1939 Jalopy Roadsters and one based on the Comet Sport.
But as each one can take almost a year of spare time work and is also weather dependent as it can be too cold to work in the workshop here in the UK some.
      times.
So would any one else like to shock the world with a nice conversion we could even start a group.
Anyway I have had my say so 'keep little wheeling' Graham.

just been rereading some of my listings and the comments
Its nice to know that you are liking what I create
I like to do conversion on this base chasses as it makes a good platform for some conversion and I still have at least two more in mind
I have around 13 of this model including 6 or 8 limited editions with the gold fenders and other trim
It would be nice if I could put a makers name to them
I was once tod meny moons ago who made them but this has been lost in the mists of time
I am still open to visitors from accross the pond or any where else if any one wants to see my collection of over 100 pedal cars in cluding 20 plastics.
I live in Mid West Wales thats the damp plase between England & Ireland
Thats all I can say for now un
less there is a member to members contact site within these pages where we can leave contact detailes.
      thanks for reading ??Graumm
