I picked up this pretty muffin dish (or cheese dome) at one charity shop. I don't see this shape often. It is in very good condition. Diameter of the plate is 8.5'', around 22 cm. It has three marks on the bottom, two impressed and one printed. I was trying to figure out the marks, but no avail. I appreciate any help and info.
I believe it is British made and not just because I found it in the UK. These dishes were for serving typical English muffins. The printed mark is a crown, the impressed marks are a triangle and some letter B what it looks like in a shield with a crown on it. Any thoughts?
    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY!!!
Update : Now I know, thanks to Mary, this dish was made in Germany by Beyer and Bock, from Thuringia, Germany. This company owned the Royal Rudolstadt registered trademark.

I think it’s German Beyer & Both- Rudolstadt, I will see if I can find an example of the mark

      Boch, not both!!

Sorry, it was Beyer & Bock 1905-1930. The blue crown is an exporter’s mark, the impressed mark with the shield is the maker’s mark

Mary, you are a genius!!! :))) I spent hours looking up marks without success. I assumed it is British made, wrongly. Thank you !!!
And the question - what is it? If I put in the google: antique muffin dish, several item with the same shape come up. But the cheese dome is similarly shaped too. So this is still an open question !!!
Karen - my knowledge of English ceramics ( or anything ) sometimes leads me to wrong assumptions, like in this case :)
Judy - I saw same shaped dishes only on the net. My husband, who is English, didn't see anything like this either :)

I think people have repurposed these as other things than there original purpose, as no-one serves cheese at room temperature anymore
