    Found this in a consignment shop anyone know how to tell the age, I can't read Chinese that well ,I'm from the south ,I do good to speak English lol. It's hard trying to kick this Asian addiction .

      I think the best way is to look at how the piece was constructed. in traditional Chinese joinery. You will not see any screws or nails being used just some glue sometimes but it wasn't for the joints.. If the pieces is signed that might help it will either be carved or written. Could have a owners name, date , why it was made, Yours looks like it was a export piece so it might not have that info. Also what the decorations are made of can help date the piece if the decorations have ivory in them then that would make it a older piece. Maybe some close ups of the decoration would help.
