Don't know if the one I have is a copy / knock-off but it is the exact twin of the one you pictured. I bought it from SMKW a few years ago. They no longer carry the one with bone scales but do have one with black composition inserts.

Since this is a traditional design (barrel legged jack knife) it could indeed be a older version. Does the blade appear to be stainless? Any possible markings on the blade?
