I happen to collect small time-pieces. You've not seen most of them.
When I realised I hadn't posted this yet, though, I was quite shocked-- about as shocked as when I took it to a watch-maker to get it cleaned and he refused to work on it.
This was given to me for my birthday back in September. I love Yogi Bear and wind-up watches, so this was perfect.
The watch is a bit tight on my wrist but works well when I use it (because it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years, I rarely use it as I don't want to damage it.)
I'm wondering if it's also self-winding, as it does have an unbreakable mainspring (which is common in self-winding watches). Otherwise, it winds perfectly but runs fast (I guess their electronic timing wasn't too good, but I don't remember seeing any way to adjust the speed when I opened it).
It came pretty much mint condition. The steel still beautifully polished.
Note the early Yogi Bear outside his classic clothes (or lack of them).
A nice watch. Sadly, I cannot use it much.
Do we have a category for vintage Hanna-Barbera cartoons paraphernalia?
SEASON's GREETINGS to YOU & YOURS SPIRITBEAR !!! ! !!!! ! !!!
I guess Yogi Bear was just too daunting for the watchmaker.
:-)))))
Merry Christmas to you from The Netherlands!
Vetraio, thank you; and a very merry Christmas to you.
Efesgirl, merry Christmas and a happy new year.
He said the watch was made to be disposed of, not cleaned and retimed.
The peace of the season be with you, my friend.
Nicefice, I agree. Thank you, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
KatherinesCollections, thank you. May peace always be yours.
Beauty..... FYI 1966 produced by Bradley. It is adjustable, but wouldn't advise you trying unless you know how, lol. Very neat and Happy Holidays
oops....manual wind only
Gotta luv Yogi and Booboo. A very merry Christmas x.
Rereading my comments.....Typo..... 1963
The insides do not show anything to adjust the speed by, Kerry. I've seen a few of these, including a less common variant of the same watch. I'm wondering if that one is adjustable. They're usually sold as 'circa 1962', so that second date fits. Swiss-made. A late Merry Christmas to you.
Wandless Fairy, we do. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Thank you, Kerry.
You're very welcome. I searched my archives and earliest advertisement I can find on these was Fall-1963. Next is 1966
Added the 1963 advert on mine if you wish to see
I will take a look.
